Fahrenheit 9/11

I really think you should all see it (especially the people who know they wont agree with any of it...Matt)
I'd like to know what Carl thinks of the 2nd half, I'll even take him on a date to the movie, my treat, assuming he'd then throw in his 2 cents on here...and for that matter even if he doesn't.

ps The tagline in the commercials about the movie getting a standing ovation at the end can't be that untrue because people did clap at the end of it.

There was a standing ovation when I saw it. But I still hate when people clap at the end of movies. About as much as I hated the guy behind me going, "Goddamn right" every 5 minutes. Also, my friend Andy, who is probably the most right-wing person I know, thought it was excellent.

I also was bothered by the clapping, it's not a play. Michael's not there, there's no reason to clap. I'm not surprised that a right winger liked it. The very end was moving and the whole thing was well done.

I clapped at the end of Miracle......and I still cheer when Rocky beats Apollo

At the end of Dude, Where's My Car? when they finally get the continuum transfunctioner, I can't help but applaud.

O'neal family quote of the day (sort of, not a direct quote", "Shaunie O'Neal was quoted while giving a tour of the family's 18-bedroom Los Angeles mansion which she says the family has outgrown and which is now on the market for $7.5 million."
I don't think I've ever actually physically clapped for a movie. That's just silly.

I have metaphysically clapped for a movie. :)
I saw that quote on ESPN and was a bit perturbed. How do you outgrow an 18 BEDROOM mansion? I'm pretty sure they don't have 17 kids. And I'm sure there are other rooms in the house.
What it must be like to be rich.....

It's not so easy being rich.....the Democrats are always trying to take your money, and people start calling you bastards for no reason.

Of course republicans essentially take poor people's money and give it to the already rich people ("The have and have-mores" are GWB's "base") so they can get bedrooms 19-25.

I saw Farenheight 9/11 and didn`t like it. Micheal Moore is a fat ugly annoying guy. I saw Dude where`s my car too and i thought it was funny even though my friends say it sucks.
