Yeah I noticed that the other day. I knew the Vikes were in good shape but the Packers surprised me. I don't know why everyone is saying Favre wont come back because the Packers are doomed to mediocracy if they have 20 mil to spend. Although they looked awful there isn't a whole lot separating awful from good in the NFL.
(Also for the record the Vikings did sign 2 probowlers last year)

Any Packer who leaves to play for the Bears or Vikings is dead to me.

The Vikings are doing a west coast offense and seem convinced the Packers are the only team to use it.
Getting a kicker from your division makes sense for obvious reasons (don't be surprised to see Paul Edinger in green)
William would be a good fullback I guess.

Packers are talking with Mike Vanderjak I guess. Henderson is undoubtadly one of the better blocking fullbacks in the league, and is a very pleasant surprise as a pass receiver when he is called upon. And once Culpepper is gone, Nall could be their best QB under age of 37. The Vikes should just break my heart more and try to sign Bollinger away from the Jets.

I saw that Bradford signing yesterday and I don't see how it makes any sense at all for the Lions. When was the last time a Lion's receiving corps had a good year? I think you'd have to go back to Moore and Perriman in 95.

It didn't cost them much and they really need a veteran receiver to try and rub off on the spoiled #1 draft picks they have now. All the front office kept talking about was Bradford's "impeccable work habits" which I think is the main reason for his signing. Martz originally wanted Isaac Bruce but he resigned with the Rams.

So let me get this straight. AFTER he announces he might possibly think about announcing his decision this weekend Brett Favre schedules a press conference. He then has the gall to say to the reporters after he says nothing "I don't know why you wasted a trip down here". He could have made the intentions of the conference clear. (Even his wife was apparently under the impression today was the day) Instead it was another opportunity to get in front of the cameras and jerk everyone around.

What??? The Packers are supposed to have a bye week whenever they play the Vikings! This is crap. What also is crap is that the Packers have been scheduled to play in Philly for about the 5th straight year. This same thing happened in the mid 90's against the Cowboys. What's going on? That is more alarming than the fact the Packers had 3 straight seasons of playing the same division rival after a bye.
Also, somehow after having a much worse season than the Vikings, the Packers still have the same number of games in prime time. Everyone loves Green Bay (except Javon Walker, Mike McKennzie, Chris Hovan, and apparently Brett Favre).

ok, here's the deal. Tomorrow at 12:30pm at Bollinger? Does that work. I think bollinger fields should be available on a sunday afternoon. I have a bat, about 6-10 softballs, and a killer instinct. It is a very good point though. If you were to look at baseball, for example. There are very few pitchers that have lost 20 games in a season, but there are 16 hall of fame pitchers who have lost 20 games. To be bad enough to put up crap numbers but yet be good enough to be allowed to continue is something to point out.
If Favre throws 10 TD's a year and 16 to 24 int's each season, it's obviously a different story. But coaches can put up with the high int numbers when the net gain is as high as it has been (until last season). While I don't think this current Packers team is necessarily playoff bound (although the NFC North has been soooo lacking stiff competition the last couple of years), I do not think another 4-12, 29 touchdown season is in store.
Anyway, I'm just stunned that Jeremy brought that point up all by himself.

from what I'm told, Favre looked pretty sharp. That's a good sign. Rocket over the middle, Driver grabs the ball out of nowhere. I hope this is a growing trend. I didn't see any of the game though.

On a sad note, :cry: Henderson is out 3-6 weeks with an injury. It's not looking good at all. I hope he gets well very very quickly.
BTW, i really enjoyed the game, we actually looked like a decent team throughout the ranks. Plus, it always helps to beat Ron Mexico in any situation and walk away STD free.
