Comment on a Comet

I don't know if anyone else is aware of this but there's a comet that is pretty bright right now, so much so that you can see it with the naked eye. The best times are 30-40 minutes before sunrise or after sunset. Anyway, I'm usually at work still at sunset but I was offsite today and happened to be driving home at sunset. I totally forgot about trying to see the comet until I saw a rather bright Venus and then I remembered that the comet was supposed to a bit like 20 degrees or something um..how do you give directions in degrees? 20 degrees to the right? That's what I'm going with. So long story short I was able to find a spot with a clear view of the western horizon and I caught a glimpse of the comet. It was kind of cool. I couldn't find a place to park and get a better look but it started to get cloudy anyway. I might make a concious effort to try and see it again this weekend (or maybe not since while adding some more links at the end here I found it will be pretty much behind the sun by then). And speaking of space things, I've found this cool nasa site with a daily space picture. Astronomy Picture of the Day Jan 5th and 9th have pictures of the comet.
