I guess it's hard to gauge which on is "worse" since I'm comparing the shock value of one to another that I've seen a few times now. Also, what exactly would a working harness have done for him there?

the working harness would have slapped him into a girder so he would have broken his face instead of breaking all but one bone in his body.
