![]() | JeremyWhy does Dallas and Detroit get the thanksgiving game every year? I don't get it. Remember in 98 when the Vikes blew out Dallas on Thanksgiving? Good times. |
![]() | MattLike Bill Parcells, Thanksgiving is highly overrated. |
![]() | JonDoes anyone remember when it snowed on Thanksgiving when these two teams met a few years ago? It was a pretty wild game. Of course, by the time this game is over, there's a good chance I'll be sleeping off my gigantic helpings of Thanksgiving food. |
![]() | SarahWhat? No Redskins? What a rip. Miami should start fading away about now. I hate the Cowboys. |
![]() | Vikings 17 @ Rams 48 | ![]() |
![]() | JeremyMinnesota's D does well when people try to go deep on them. Any offensive coord should see that but Martz is too arrogant to care and Bulger has had pick problems lately. The Vikes will need a big day from the D and will need to bring an offense to the game to have a chance. Don't be surprised if it's all tied up in the Norse after this week. |
![]() | MattAt first glance it would seem that this game would be a blowout in favor of the Rams. On second glance however, you see that Bulger has been throwing quite a few interceptions as of late, and the Vikings have been intercepting quite a few passes this year. You also see that the Vikings have a bad run defense, but the Rams don't have that great of a run offense, so that might not hurt too much. So you start think the Vikings have a good chance. On third glance, you remember that the Vikings coaching staff likes to watch Trading Spaces instead of watching film on the opponent, so you realize that the Vikings may not be able to capitalize on any favorable match-ups it may have. But then you realize you’re a big homer anyway, so you pick the Vikings 42-27. |
![]() | JonThe Vikings finally got a win last week. It's about time, they almost turned me emo. St. Louis could be tough, but Bulger has been throwing a lot of interceptions lately and that's always good for the Vikings. |
![]() | SarahSt. Louis is slumping, and Kurt Warner might get his job back. However, I think they have it in them to beat the Vikings, and that'll help us out tremendously. Why did we have to lose so many games by such a small amount of points? Oh well, we'll still get the division. :) |
![]() | Buccaneers 10 @ Jaguars 17 | ![]() |
![]() | JeremyTampa is still alive, but they don't have much room for error and even then would have to try to repeat as a wild card team. |
![]() | MattThe only good thing about Thanksgiving is that you can have Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie at the same time. |
![]() | JonKevin Johnson! Jimmy Smith! Fred Taylor! Good players, but I thought athletes had fancy names these days. Names like...Wassawa. |
![]() | SarahTB should be able to squeak past Jacksonville. They're not having a great season. That's about all I gotta say about that. |
![]() | Titans 17 @ Jets 24 | ![]() |
![]() | JeremyJ - E - T - S Jets! Jets! Jets!How do you spell McNair? |
![]() | MattWhatever happened to Neil O'Donnell? |
![]() | JonBy the time this game ends, I'll probably have just recovered from my Thanksgiving meal. |
![]() | SarahSteve McNair didn't play last week? I'm confused. Whatever. I haven't seen McNair play any games so far this year and apparently he's a shoo in for MVP. Well, prove it. |

Actually, Detroit has had the Thanksgiving day game for something like 50 years. They always hosted the Packers, but Vince Lombardi didn't like this. He thought it was too much of an advantage each year for a game that had quite a bit of hype. I'm not sure, but I think Dallas took over soon after this happened.

Yeah, deer hunting, Packers, and Turkey all in the same day. Could it get any better than this? Yeah, how bout a 12 pointer. That would make it better.

If the Vikes can manage to win sunday the Bears game might wrap up the division. That would give the Vikes the divisional record tie breaker and would "add a game" to the spread. No matter how sunday plays out a win against the bears would be huge.

What's with the silence? All you college kids get kicked out of the dorms to places with no internet access?

I'm still in a state of depression after that game on thursday. Also, my girlfriends birthday is coming up next weekend, and I really suck at shopping for girls. I mean, wow, who'da thought women were that complicated? Spending 2 hours at Wal-mart didn't bring the best results. I know wal-mart probably isn't the best place to shop, but Rhinelander doesn't really have much else. It's the thought that counts, right?.....i hope?

vikings suck!!!!!!!!! and i'd also like to nominate the nfc north for the worst conference in football award. let's face it, the lions and bears are terrible, the vikings have completely gone to suck, and the packers only like to actually play against good teams and they can't win in the fourth quarter. the way things are going right now, the vikings might win the conference with a 7-9 record. suck(lions) + suck(bears) + choke(minnesota, after first six games) + choke(packers every time they have a chance to win in the fourth quarter) = worst conference ever!!!!

It's like the Vikings want the Packers to win, but the Packers must think it's a trick or something and they decide to keep losing, hoping to stick it to the Vikings by not falling for their trap, or something. All I can say is that this is about as pathetic of a playoff race I can think of.

Youre all just falling into the deceptive trap laid by the soon-to-be division champs Detriot Lions.

Ahh the Thanksgiving game. Detroit always plays tough on Thanksgiving. If the refs pull as hard for them this week as they did last week they should win.Matt
I hear that Mark Chumura and Michael Jackson are teaming up for the next player/musician thing on Monday Night Football.Jon
I wonder if it's time for Detroit's secret weapon...Darko! I think so.Sarah
Ah, what a great tradition! I'm a little concerned about our offensive line and our runningbacks, they ran their tails off! HA, tailbacks. They have been doing a really great job, they should all go to the Pro Bowl. The Lions have been hurting, I just hope they keep Harrington for this game, because he's been awful. Also, I hope that Barnett and Sharper are healthy for the game because we need them. Our D was awesome against the 49ers. Antuan Edwards had a career game on Sunday, he may have to step up again on Turkey day.
