![]() | JeremyThe last time Mikey was in town he and his Seahawks left with a huge win. That was when they we’re pretty bad and the Packers were pretty good. The reverse is true this time and this game could get ugly in a hurry. |
![]() | MattGreen Bay sucks, and Sarah, this is a family web site, watch your language. Seattle 48 - Green Bay 2 |
![]() | JonMaybe I should write something about how Mike Holmgren used to coach the Packers. Instead, I'll just mention how Seattle has a good offense and possibly defense and the Packers don't look like they have an answer for that. |
![]() | SarahHolmgren returns. Did you know that ol' Mike used to only speak to Favre through Mariucci when he was mad at him? Interesting. If the Packers continue their pattern this year, this should be in the L column. But, I'm going to say that the Packers are going to beat the undefeated Seahawks. In order to go to the Super Bowl, we need to start winning consecutive games. Am I right? Hell yezza I am. Homecoming is happening in more ways than one this weekend. HA! |
![]() | Browns 33 @ Steelers 13 | ![]() |
![]() | JeremyI have nothing to say here except for the fact that Tommy Maddox is my backup QB in fantasy football and every week he does just a little better than my starter Trent Green, but never by enough points to convince me it’s worth benching the QB of such a potent offense. It’s very frustrating. Every week the Chiefs put up like 40 points and I get excited thinking Trent must have had a good day and every time it’s like 120 yards passing, 1 TD, 2 INTs |
![]() | MattI don't think I've seen more than a minute combined of these two teams so far this season. Pittsburgh 22 (2 TDs, 1 PAT, 1 2pt. conversion, 1 FG, and 2 safeties) - Cleveland 8 (4 safeties) |
![]() | JonHere's the thing about Bill Cowher...he seems to be pretty good at winning games. |
![]() | SarahRight.... next. |
![]() | Colts 38 @ Buccaneers 35 | ![]() |
![]() | JeremyDungy comes home. I think the Bucs are the better team here but never underestimate a coach against his old team. If this were in Indy I’d take them in a landslide, but because I think the Colts will have a tough time playing near the pirate ship (I hear it’s intimidating) I think the Bucs take a close (read boring) one. |
![]() | MattThe Colts vs The Vikings in the Super Bowl. Indianapolis 2 - Tampa Bay 0 |
![]() | JonI'll take the defensive genius who's coached both teams. |
![]() | SarahThis is my upset of the week pick. The Colts had a MONSTEROUS game last Sunday night against the Saints. Granted, the Saints suck, but the Colts had 55 points!!! That's just terrific. Maybe this week they'll put Sapp at QB and then he'll get sacked. That would be cool. |

Go Pack!!! Be afraid NFC, and AFC for that matter, Brett Favre is heating up. Sporting News rated him the best player in Football this year, and he's revving his engine and peeling out. Look out people. Go Pack Go!!!
Minn. was impressive too, unfortunately.

Brett isn't even the best player on the Packers, let alone the NFL.

Anyone else think the Tommy Maddox love-in is over?
I think the Bears would be o.k. with a trade back.

Outside of that Miami-Jets game on MNF a few years back that MNF game was perhaps the best game I've ever seen.

35 points in the 2nd half? are you kidding me?? Against that defense??? Wow, never have I seen a more impressive display of urgency. Colts are for real.

Leaping??? What is this, ballet or professional football?

I had to work, so I only saw the last 4 minutes, but I have to agree. That was probably the best ending of a game I have ever seen.

Any game that Tampa Bay loses is sweet, but this was maybe the best game ever. I had given up hope and had started dozing off, when all of a sudden, it was a tied ball game. Go Colts!

How soon do you think that leaping rule gets tossed out? Tampa got hosed.

Gus proved he can handle another week at the helm which would give Daunte 4 weeks to get all better. The amount of people that think Gus should be the starter is staggering. Daunte leads the NFC in passer rating and but his team at 3-0. Besides, people are totally missing the point; the Lions could find a QB that would be better for them right now, likewise with the Ravens, Texans and Cowboys. The reason you tough out the growing pains is that you know in the end you’ll have a leader of the teams and someone to build around. Besides if some fumbles and just "not going deep" are the growing pains us Viking fans have to tolerate then I think we have it pretty good.Matt
Jack Morris took the Braves to school in the '91 World Series. Minnesota 31 - Atlanta 5Jon
The Hawk can play. Do you miss Atlanta Fulton County Stadium???? I'm pretty indifferent toward it.Sarah
Minnesota is undefeated for some strange reason. I think the cosmos are aligned very wrongly. Poor Atlanta, turns out they were just a one man show. I don't really care about this game, there are more important things going on that involve Minnesota and sports. The Twins just beat the Yankees today in their first game. Sweet!
