I dont know if I can "steal your ideas" from that week given that my comments from that week were along the same lines as well.

I realize that, but if I recall, my comments that week were in before yours, so I will stand by my previous comment.

Next thing I know, you'll start making Doug Mientkiewicz jokes and say that everything sucks :)

It's go time tomorrow, we need to get this thing up and running people, I say we go on without Jon. :) I'm going to win the season anyway. Look at last week, I blew everyone away.

I think there is arguable connection between Javon Walker holding out and then getting hurt in the first game. Maybe by holding out and not participating in the "optional" minicamps, he lost just a spec of a step that maybe would have given him an opportunity to shed the tackler that ended his season. Probably just coincidince or bad luck, but not out of this world possible. I've give my picks later on before the start of the games tomorrow. I'm at work at the moment.

Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinatti, New England, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Atlanta, St. Louis, Green Bay, New York Jets, San Diego, Kansas City, NY Giants, Dallas.

I'm so screwed up after week 1, with 5 of the 6 NFC playoff teams losing, and the only reason it wasn't all 6 is because 2 of them played each other, so unfortunately somebody had to win. I was close to picking Arizona over St. Louis, but I'm going with the fluke theory of why the Rams lost to the 49ers. That's also why I went with the Bears of the Lions. The Lions are facing a team with a better defense than the team they played last week, and since Ahmad Carrol doesn't play for the Bears, the refs won't call them for any defensive holdings or hands to the face.

PS, I agree very much with Jeremy's comments under the Giants-Saints game, which by the way, I heard that Giants Stadium is going to be decorated in Saints gear to make it feel more like a homegame for the Saints. Maybe they will actually forget that there isn't a roof overhead.

If Hanson's hurt that badly, why wouldn't detroit pick up another kicker or something? i mean i haven't really looked at the game, so i don't know if they tried for the xp or tried for the 2 pts, but that's going to kick them in the butt.

The Vikings have to be the worst team in the league at this point. Right?

Well, the packers haven't played yet today, but until then I think they have the lock.

I don't see how the packers could launch a suck campaign to compete with this. I mean the Vikings are trying to make this count for 2 losses.

Why am I seeing highlights? Why am I not seeing the Packers retiring Reggie's number? I am mad at CBS.

Fantasy wise I'm having a poor week. But I will give myself props for continuing riduculing my coworkers during the week that thought the Lions were a lock to destroy the Bears. Harrington is the second worst QB ever (after Daunte). In fact, in one of my other leagues I ditched Carolina's D and picked up Chicago. Bout the only thing I've done right though this week. Go Bucks!!

Packers are in last place. Vikings are in worst place. Ding.

The Badgers host Michigan this weekend. Should be a good game.

Week 2, 22nd comment. Everyone must still be watching baseball instead. I think last night was a case of prevent defense preventing the Cowboys from winning. Moss isn't that big, you need to get someone in his face off the line. After being in 4th after week 1 and winning in all my head-to-head leagues, I dropped to 11th and lost all 3 games this week. Oh the joys of week 2.

At least Tice doesn't have to worry about his GM approval ratings, cause I think Sherman takes the cake there too for his previous efforts. In fact, his biggest problem as a coach is that he screwed himself as the GM.

If anyone needs a RB in fantasy, D. Davis, Carnell Williams, or Larry Johnson are all on the trading block. I'm looking for a good WR or QB.

Yeah, I wouldn't be suprised if the Packers dropped Sherman like an Ahman Green handoff after the season. They could trade Green too, he's still got some trade value.

What is worse, losing horribly and playing horribly against a good team, or playing decently and still losing to the worst team in the league?

Saints miffed over 'home' loss at Giants Stadium

To me, Haslett and Brooks come off as ungrateful assholes. The NFL had to make a quick decision regarding this game in the aftermath of the hurricane, and playing at Giants Stadium was the easiest option. Obviously it wasn't the most ideal situation for the Saints but come on, your city is underwater, there are going to be some inconveniences.

It seems to me that the NFL and the Giants tried their best to be make the Saints feel welcome and appreciated at Giants Stadium, and the best the Saints could do was to act like ungrateful houseguests, complaining about how bad they had it.

I disagree. It could have been played in one of a million neutral sites.

In the article Haslett and Brooks both say they got outplayed and the venue wasn't why they lost the game, so big whoop.

Wow, Jeremy and I are on fire. I agree with Aaron Brookes as well. Don't call it a home game if it ain't a home game. I think it it could have been played somewhere else. Obviously the stadium didn't cause them to commit like 5 turnovers, but talk about being somewhat humiliated from the get go, and then add in a poorly played game. Having their name painted in the endzones probably didn't really do anything to make them feel welcomed.

Doug Davis struck out 10 cubs tonight, including getting Derrick Lee 4 times, once with the bases loaded in the seventh. The Brewers need to go 7-5 to guarantee a .500 or better season. He's hoping...

Yes, it probably could have been played other places but, while it may not seem that short of a time to us, to the NFL three weeks notice is probably cutting it close. I think they wanted to make a decision on the first game quickly in order to have enough time to make whatever arrangements that were needed. They decided then to go with the best choice for the time frame, a NFL stadium that offered to host, and that the league knew could pull it off easily.

Sure, the painted endzone, the home uniforms and such probably didn't make it feel like a home game, but it was still a good faith gesture, and for Brooks to call it "patronizing" seems unnecessary.
