Jets 3 @ Cowboys 34 |
JeremyThe J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets stuck it to the Steelers, but that was a fluke. Cowboys line dance all over them.
SarahI've always hated the Cowboys. Me and them go way back...as enemies!
MattI think it's nice that the Jets retired Curtis Martin's number. He was the 2004 SOD after all.
JonI hope Bill Parcells flips the coin. On another note, remember to be thankful. |
Colts 31 @ Falcons 13 |
JeremyPoor Colts | |
SarahThe Colts had better get healthy and they better get health real quickly.
MattPeyton Manning is still a better QB than Tom Brady.
JonCan't see it, don't care. |
Vikings 41 @ Giants 17 |
JeremyThe Giants must be in the NFC North, because I think they've played the Vikings every season for the past many seasons.
SarahThe Giants aren't that great of a team, Kitna was right. I mean, have you seen the teams they've beaten? Still, I'm going to pick the Giants, because have you seen the Vikings?
MattC-Tayl for MVP!!!!
JonI rarely even stay awake on Sunday afternoons. |
Eagles 28 @ Patriots 31 |
JeremyTwo Sunday night games in a row? Really? Flex games no less, meaning someone decided recently to do this, it wasn't a fluke.
SarahI would say 95% of the country loathes the Patriots right about now.
MattNobody likes either of these two teams.
JonI think I'd rather have the Packers win all their remaining games than to have New England do it. |
Dolphins 0 @ Steelers 3 |
JeremyWouldn't it be funny if the Patriots broke the Dolphins undefeated season record the same season the Dolphins win no games? No, it wouldn't.
SarahThe Steelers are going to cream the Dolphins into corn! (Happy Thanksgiving of course!)
MattThe Steelers should wear their throwbacks more often.
JonI haven't really watched them, so I have no basis for this, but Miami doesn't seem like that bad of a team. |

To quote ESPN:
"A private research group recently ranked Detroit as the country's most dangerous city. No doubt the statistics were influenced by the lack of protection for QB Jon Kitna, who has been sacked a league-leading 40 times."
Packers will roll over the lions and contain their growl to a subtle purr.

For a site that costs as little as this, it has the right to be slow. I, for one, offer to put some cash in for some more bandwidth.

Jeremy: Wouldn't it be funny if the Patriots broke the Dolphins undefeated season record the same season the Dolphins win no games? No, it wouldn't.
I think it would be hilarious. Seriously. The only thing worse then listening to people whine about the Patriots running up the score is having to hear about the stupid 72 Dolphins every year.

2/5 would mean you finished 2nd out of 5 positions. There are a lot of ties for spots every week, so 5 people might finish a week at 10-6, 5 people at 11-5, 3 people at 8-8 and 2 at 9-7. That's 4 spots. So if you picked 10-6 for the week you would be 2 / 4.

Even though I didn't pick the 49ers, I'm glad they won. Anything to hurt the Patriots...

Does the NFL have some vested interest in the Patriots going undefeated? Why was that touchdown at the end of the first half not reviewed? That is about as close a play you can have in football and they didn't even review it. On top of that, there seemed to be a decent chance that the play would have been overturned. That's basically the game right there.

Controversy or not, I am atleast more optimistic now about the chances of beating the Pats (Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Pat!) down the road.
Still hate em, and Brady just looks like a wanker.

I think any perceived fear of the Pats is now gone. I think you will see alot of teams come in with alot more confidence.

If you're talking about that going out the back of the endzone td (to #10?) I think that was a pretty clear cut catch. The refs also took away a Randy Moss TD on a pretty non existent offensive pass interference causing them to have to settle for a field goal, which they missed.

Yay Patriots!!! Look people, they beat the Eagles who are one of the teams I'd least like to see sneak into the playoffs and end up playing the Packers.

I agree that the Eagles could eventually be trouble, but as the Pack continue to gain momentum, we need the Pats to lose momentum. If this means lending the Eagles a bit of help, so be it... we can beat them.

Once again it would appear the Vikings have positioned themselves nicely to make a run for the best team to not make the playoffs. Ultimately getting a middle of the road draft pick to try and improve a team that needs impact players, but not getting any players in free agency because the current team "showed promise."
5-6 with the following down the stretch: DET, @ SF, CHI, WAS, @ DEN.
10-6 isn't inconceivable, 9-7 is possible, 8-8 is actually fairly likely.

Also, question:
Let's say the Vikings sneak into the playoffs. Is anyone scared by that? By all accounts they aren't that good, but they've also hung around in all their losses, save for one, and destroyed some decent teams. Add to that fact that All Day Adrian Peterson could crack off 250 yards against anyone.
Would a team be worried to see the Vikings come to town in round one, or thank their lucky stars?

Wouldn't be worried, as they show too much inconsistancy. Dallas and Green Bay can take them, and those are the playoff teams to beat.

Also, I have people over here telling my ADP should be benched the rest of the season to "get healthy." Really though, they say that so they can position themselves for a good draft pick.

Regardless of what the outcome would have been though, how in the world do you not review that play. I have seen much much less obvious calls reviewed in the final two minutes. And in my estimation, I don't think the receiver had control until after his first foot left the ground. He then got one toe inbounds and his knee landed out of bounds. Even if they would have still called it a touchdown, it is almost a travesty for the system that it didn't even get a booth-called review.

Well, just because the booth didn't call an official review doesn't mean they didn't look at it. Al and John made way too big a deal out of it. As far as Sarah and I were concerned it was an open and shut touchdown.

That's really sad. I heard he was critical, but the media loves to throw that word around and only about 50% of the time does it refer to the actual "diagnosis" of critical. It wasn't until last night when they said after, or during, the game that his family was told to "pray for a miracle" that I realized how serious the situation was.

I still think there could be an argument made that Welker did not have control until his left foot was off the ground. But whatever, I'll concede.
