Falcons win it at home, vikings go 0-2, colts go 0-2, and the cowboys go 1-1. Hopefully I can go undefeated this week. :D

Sarah - How do you use these things?

Not feeling good about my 49ers pick, but I'll stick with it. Also wondering if maybe the Bears are actually decent?

Sarah change the 49ers pick. the 49ers won't win that game....cowboys played a tough team last week( the jets) that they almost won. 49ers played a shit team( seattle) which is why they won. Change it, trust me!

bravado much? It's the wise thing to do. Better to admit mistakes now, then regret it later with a loss. Who cares if people think you're wishy washy? You got something to prove? There is a reason you're getting the feeling, you're the one who first said you were getting the feeling, it's not like your being wishy washy, it's being smart about your pics.
BTW: WTF is up with that call. That was a touchdown pass and I can't believe they didn't challenge it. It should be 21-13. -.-

I'll see how it works out for me, that's why they play the game. :) I thought it was a TD too but apparently that's not how the rules work. It's like the Calvin Johnson play from last year.

Here were a few of my facebook posts during the packer game today (in chronological order):
1) Game observation: With Williams out, Woodson has to cover Steve Smith. Woodson can't stay with him, and the only play that Woodson made a play on a ball thrown to Steve Smith, Woodson had safety help right with him. Packers defense needs to adjust for that.
2) Woodson must have heard me, because he just made an amazing play in man-to-man coverage against Steve Smith
It's no secret (or it shouldn't be) that Woodson straight up coverage abilities are clearly not what they used to be. He was overmatched by Steve Smith all game long. Woodson's first interception was a route he was able to jump because he had saftey help in the area. His second interception was actually a pretty awesome play over the middle (I'm pretty sure it was straight man coverage). And his fumble recovery was after he got torched by Steve Smith earlier in the same play. So obviously he made some good plays that made up for it, but the Packers have to figure out a way to not have Woodson matched up on teams' number 1 receivers. Shields can cover, and Morgan Burnett had a pretty good game on his side of the ball today (for the most part). Just a simple observation, because Woodson still brings a lot to the table defensively. He just has proven to be a little bit of a liability in man coverage, especially against good receivers.
The Packers obviously had some issues on defense today, but it's almost as if you could say that Charles Woodson was the cause of, and solution to, all of their problems today. (by this I am not quite being serious, but it made me think of this simpsons quote).

Were you purposely ignorning the most obvious way, getting Tramon Williams back? Also, with the rules so much in favor of offenses now, you can't expect to shut down someone like Steve Smith as long as he has a halfway serviceable QB throwing him the rock. Hey, that's new I think, the ESPN box scores show targets. Smith was targeted 13 times, and only had 6 catches. And yes that was for 156 yards, but no TDs. Woodson was fine I think. The maybe somewhat less obvious way to take pressure off him would be to get a better pass rush, which is what I'm more worried about than Woodson's cover ability. Well, that and the safety position now that Collins out for the year.
Also, I only was able to watch the first half and had to listen to the second half on the radio, but in that first quarter you could just see that Newton was getting a little bit too confident and it was only a matter of time before he pushed the envelope too far and threw some picks.

There are some games where the match up seems like a no brainer and then things happen and BAM! the good team loses. So yea, I'm nervous about this game. Our defense looked a bit sloppy and a bit tired on opening night. Hoping they got the kinks worked out and that somehow we also got a whole new special teams unit.Jon
Cam Newton throws 3 ints but runs for 80 yds and one TD.
