I am half tempted to change my Panthers pick, so that if the Redskins win, Scott won't be ahead of me.

So far, the Bears-Bucs game is split at 10 picks each, with Jon still having to make his picks. He could be the deciding vote!

The debate on a number ESPN shows yesterday was "who is the 2nd best team in the NFL". I haven't followed either team closely this year, but it seemed that everyone was leaning towards the Ravens as being a more complete team than the Patriots (the packers are number one by pretty much unanimous consensus). Well, I think that debate is now over. "best" teams don't lose to 1-5 teams. The Ravens almost got shutout.

Who would've thought the ravens would not show up last night? Nobody on the nut that's for sure.

What a terrible week for my picks. It's strange too, because I was uncomfortable with them immediately after making them. But I don't like to do too much second guessing, so I just left things the way they were.

Scott - If you aren't enough without it, you'll never be enough with it.

When do they announce how much Brian Robinson is getting fined and possibly how many games he is going to have to sit out for jacking TJ Lang in the junk? The penalty should be one of two options. Either he just sits out the next time they play the Packers, or TJ Lang gets a free shot at him the next time they play.

Speaking of the Ravens, I'm going to tell my FF story for a non-nutcan head to head league that I'm in, even though there's a 100% chance that no one cares.
My 2-4 team was only 3 points down before Monday night, and I had Flacco and Ed Dickson going against Boldin. I figured that gave me about a 90+% of winning. Then the epic fail first half ended and I was still losing. Fast forward to 5:22 left in the game. The Ravens go from their 10 to the Jax 5 on only passes, none of which were to Boldin and 19 yards worth to Dickson. I finally have the lead at the point. The only immediate threat to victory is a TD pass to Boldin since the scoring is 4 points for a passing TD and 6 for a receiving TD. Next snap, Flacco stares down Boldin throughout his entire drop and easily zips him the ball for a TD even though he was sort of double covered on the route (which begs the question, "What was Flacco doing for the first 55 minutes of the game?"). So now I'm down by .98 points. Baltimore ends up a couple inches short of getting the onside kick back, but they force the 3 and out. Incomplete pass to Boldin, hurray. Then an attempted 10 pass to Dickson which would put me back in the lead...interception game over!
I hate FF for making me emotional involved in one of the worst games ever.

Quick Tebow thoughts. First, I don't know the guy, but he's generally likable, so I'm kind of a fan. But chalking up the win to Tebow's magic or his knack to win or whatever is a little silly. He used some of his skills to complete the comeback, but it looks like a classic case of only needing a comeback because you couldn't get it done earlier. He was pretty bad the first 90% of the game. They were playing the Dolphins, arguably the worst team in the league. Remember how easily the Patriots passed against Miami? I don't think anyone was expecting Tom Brady-level output from Tebow, but he had virtually no passing game until the very end. There's a chart in the story I've linked to below. It breaks down Tebow's first 11 drives compared to his last 2. Pretty big difference.

$20,000 monetary fine, no word yet on any physical fines....

Packers 33 @ Vikings 27

I'll be at the game! I feel like this game could be a definite trap even with the Vikings not having any cornerbacks. Christian Ponder > Joe Mauer? We shall find out.Jeremy
Uh huhJon
The Packers have never won at the Metrodome under its current roof.
