Oh noes!!! Forgot to make a Thursday game pick. Take this schedule and shove it NFL, I quit.

On behalf of craig and Jamey, you should really just give us the Patriots. No one picked the Jets to win.

I concur on the shoving it part. Though I have watched some of both Thursday games this year, so I'm probably not being totally consistent.

Seriously though, missing picks is one of my recurring "bad" dreams that I have. It's disappointing. I guess because doing these picks each week is one of the longer ongoing commitments in my life.

Maybe I need to re-evaluate things.

Also, to touch on something Sarah mentioned in one of her game comments, I hear a lot of talk about the exciting, speedy, productive offense the Eagles ran. But I started watching that game around the 2nd quarter, after their first 2 or 3 tds were scored, I think, and from there on they didn't actually look that great. I know they were doing slow-down, prevent plays for a good chunk in the 2nd half, but I really wonder if their offense will continue to be what people saw in the early parts of the game. I'd scale back expectations a bit for now. I think they'll try to be what they were in that first quarter, but who knows if they'll actually come close on any sort of regular basis. Or at all. Stranger things have happened, right?

Nutcan should send out an auto tweet on Wednesday reminding us to make our picks.

And to echo something Sarah said in her game comment about the Redskins, either we refer to them as something else, or we take Tony Kornheiser's nod and change their logo to a bag of red potatoes.

That Merriweather dude should get multiple fines after knocking Lacy out with a concussion and then trying to do the same to Starks and knocking himself out instead. Didn't even get a penalty!

I'm not one to wish ill or revenge on a player health wise, but it Merriweather had that coming by his own actions.
