Scott - On your mark...get set...Terrible!

At 4-2, the Packers are record-wise right where I predicted they would be through 6 games. I originally had this Vikings game as a Packers loss, but I have a feeling that in spite of all the injuries to major contributors, the rookie-filled Packers are better at this poing in the season than the Vikings. The Packers have entered what is probably the easiest portion of their schedule between now and Thanksgiving (3 of their next 5 games are against teams with currently just 1 win), so hopefully the injuries they've sustained can be overcome. Divisional games are always a bit hard to predict, but this game seems to have all the makings for a comfortable win for the Packers.

I just hope its close. I requested a night off so I can watch this game, but I made the request at the start of the season.... I'm predicting I'll be switching the channel midway third quarter....

I usually don't make predictions about specific things in the game, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings pounded out a couple good kickoff returns. The injuries to the starters have forced less experienced guys to play special teams. But even more telling than that, Tim Masthay, the punter who has doubled as kickoff man this year, has a strong leg, but kicks low line drives with very little hangtime, a sight that makes any good return man salivate. Considering the Vikings return man took a kick out of his own endzone from 9 yards deep last week, and returned another kick for a touchdown, if Masthay doesn't kick every kick out of the endzone, expect an interesting day for the Packers cover team.

Patterson has a 100% green light. If he can catch it, he can, and is more or less supposed to, run it out.
Freeman is showing concussion like symptoms, it will most likely be Ponder on Sunday.

Also, all you have to do is not kick it to Patterson, and we give you the ball on the 10.

I'm not sure who this benefits more. Probably the Vikings (at least for this game).

And if you're a Cowboy fan that was a crusher. Me? I was ok with it, even though an NFC North team won it. :)

I turned the game off after the Lions failed to convert on 4th down with about 1:30 left. I found out at about 6:00 that they won.

Yes, a crushing loss! But, still a good game to watch. Blowouts are boring. I still enjoy watching these games. The Denver/Dallas game was great right up to the end. Don't like ending up on the losing side, but it's football! I'll take it any day over any other season!

Apparently, Brandon Meriweather has reasoned that the only possible ways to tackle a player are to either jack them in the earhole with the crown of your helmet or take out their knees to end their careers. Since jacking them in the earhole is now illegal, busting up knees is the only possible alternative. I think this guy needs to find a new line of work.

I might be wrong, I think we've only had one other week in which someone went unbeaten (and I think it happened twice that particular week) in NutCan history. Anyone care to search for it?

Congrats to Alex indeed. For the perfect week and the excellent Toad reference. 89 wins on the year so far? nice work.
There have been at least two separate weeks where one or more pickers was perfect prior to this week. Alex have you done it twice now? Has anyone else done it twice?

Yawn. Thursday games, tired of 'em.Jon
Panthers have uniforms that I'd rank among the best in sports.
