Jaguars 20 @ Patriots 24

Sarah
Making this pick because I want it to happen.
Jon
This is a freezing cold take, but I could see the Jaguars winning this. Coughlin!

Vikings 7 @ Eagles 38

Jeremy
Just breathe.
Sarah
Making this pick because it seems logical.
Jon
What can be said? That was a fun ending last week. Let's do this.

The upside of getting blown out in the NFC championship game is that you probably won't brood on it for the rest of your life. It'll hurt for a while knowing how close your team came, but you'll forget about it and remember more the way the previous game ended. Had the Vikings lost a close one or gave up a 12 point lead with 4 minutes to go (and the ball), it would possibly cause you to not even remember the amazing finish from the week before. Or if you did remember, the memory would always be tainted.

In the Packers recent history, they had a heart-ripping-out game in the NFC Championship game in 2014, and because of that I can't hardly remember the game that got them there (it was the Dez Bryant "was it a catch" game). It was a thrilling, should-be-unforgettable game, but I don't hardly remember it. Then last year, the Packers got blown out by the Falcons in the NFC Championship game, and I don't hardly remember that game but I remember vividly the game prior, with Rodgers throw to Cook on the sidelines and the long game winning field goal. I'll take the blowout, because it tends to leave the memories I want to carry on with.

Obviously I'd rather have the win, but ultimately I watch to have fun.

The brooding comes from the amount of things that had to go into it being @Philly, but only *just* at Philly.

There was a Vikings loss over the Lions. A classic Viking loss where they did 20 devastating things, including a critical fumble by possible ROY Dalvin Cook when he instinctively reached for his now shredded knee, and if you changed any one of them they probably don't lose.

There was the Carolina game where it was a similar thing, but more "death by 0 close things going your way", than critical blows, just to tie it late, then lose anyway. This is the "big thing" that was close and didn't go the Vikings way A lot of people think the Vikings got "screwed", but personally I don't see much controversy there. Just hang on to it. (Even this article seems conflicted. The Vikings can't get "screwed" by a call you think was "right by definition".)

Then the Eagles narrowly escaped the Giants, the Raiders, and the Falcons in the playoffs, with both the Giants and Falcons games coming down to multiple plays near the goal line.

If Julio Jones catches this, the Vikings might be in the Superbowl.

If this connects the game would have been at USBank stadium, and then who knows.

I seriously think the Eagles are going to win, by the way. Not super confident, but not just tossing a coin either.
